Zhou Yu 2025

A game ready model of Viceroy Zhou Yu with the likeness of Hong Kong actor Tony Leung Chiu-Wai who played the character in John Woo's 2008 film Red Cliff.
Rendered in real time in Character Creator 4 and Unreal Engine 5

My motivation for selecting this character was my appreciation of his integrity, courage, loyalty and resilience in the face of impossible odds. (The formidable command of 50,000 men against the enemy's 500,000 strong army in a decisive battle of the Han dynasty)

I've always found his situation similar to the challenges faced by artists the world over to find appreciation for what they believe and make a positive impact on humanity.

Entirety of Armor was created by arranging multiple armor plating and then stitching through them using curve brushes in zbrush.
This was then baked on a single place and meshed together for the low poly.
